Dear Sion Buckler, Thank you for your additional email that was received on 8th September. Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding; we have recently been receiving a large number of enquiries. 1. Daniel Thomas 1877 deed: we do not appear to hold any deeds relating to this transaction. A search of our catalogue has been carried out and we cannot suggest any documents that would be worth searching to find record of the transaction you are seeking information on that are within our collections. There are some records in the Cardiff Library Bute collection that may be relevant, see point 3. 2. D696 Western Ground Rents: catalogue descriptions of D696/1, D696/2, D696/3. A member of the team could search these records at a charge, or they can be accessed free in the public searchroom. Only once searched could they confirm whether any information is held relating to land in Llandough and Ty Mawr / Great House Farm. 3. Cardiff Library Bute Estate records: Bute X.6(12) contains abstracts of payments and receipts by the trustees of the Marquis of Bute's properties, 1877 (copy). Other similar records in Bute X might also be of interest. These records are currently still with Cardiff Library. 4. Land Valuation 1910 maps at National Archives: research guide on the 1910 land valuation survey maps. Relevant Ordnance Survey sheet Glamorgan XLVII.6. They will answer remaining emails in due course. Yours sincerely, Louise Hunt, Archivist, Glamorgan Archives.
