Byddwn yn ceisio ymateb cyn pen 15 diwrnod gwaith, oni bai bod chi wedi dewis ein Gwasanaeth Blaenoriaeth, wedyn byddwn mewn cysylltiad yn fuan gyda manylion pellach a gwybodaeth am dalu am y gwasanaeth. Yn y cyfamser, gallai’r wybodaeth isod fod yn ddefnyddiol i chi: I gael gwybodaeth am safleoedd hanesyddol yng Nghymru a chael manylion am yr hyn sydd yn ein harchifau, ewch i’n cronfa ddata a’n catalog, https://coflein.gov.uk/cy/ Os yn bosibl, rydym yn argymell eich bod yn trefnu apwyntiad i ymweld â’n llyfrgell ac ystafell chwilio ein harchif, os hoffech weld deunydd yr archif â’ch llygaid eich hun a thynnu lluniau heb orfod talu amdanynt. Yn gyffredinol, mae gwneud hynny’n gynt ac yn rhatach o lawer nag archebu sganiau o bell. Mae llawer o’n delweddau digidol ar gael i’w lawrlwytho, eu prynu a’u trwyddedu yn syth o Coflein. Mae canllawiau ynghylch sut mae gwneud hynny i’w gweld yn y fideo byr hwn: Lawrlwytho delweddau o Coflein Os nad yw’r ddelwedd yr ydych yn chwilio amdani ar gael drwy’r system hon, y rheswm am hynny’n aml fydd cyfyngiadau hawlfraint, ac efallai y byddwch am chwilio am ddelwedd amgen sydd ar gael, os yw hynny’n bosibl. Os ydych yn gofyn am set ddata, cofiwch fod y data hwnnw ar gael am ddim yn awr dan y Drwydded Llywodraeth Agored, ac y gallwch fynd ati eich hun i chwilio am ddata am y tir a’r môr ar MapDataCymru neu Cymru Hanesyddol. Os ydych yn cysylltu â ni i ofyn am gael mynediad i safle hanesyddol, cofiwch nad yw’r Comisiwn Brenhinol yn berchen ar unrhyw un o’r safleoedd a gaiff eu rhestru ar Coflein, ac nad oes gennym unrhyw fanylion cyswllt ar gyfer perchnogion safleoedd. Bydd angen i chi gysylltu’n uniongyrchol â pherchnogion safleoedd i ofyn am gael mynediad. Os ydych yn poeni am gyflwr heneb neu safle hanesyddol, dylech gysylltu â Gwasanaeth Amgylchedd Hanesyddol Llywodraeth Cymru, sef Cadw, neu â’r awdurdod lleol perthnasol. Yn yr un modd, os oes gennych ymholiad am statws statudol safle hanesyddol neu am y broses gynllunio sy’n ymwneud ag Adeiladau Rhestredig neu Henebion Hynafol Cofrestredig, mae ystod o wybodaeth ar gael ar wefan Cadw: Cyngor a Chymorth | Cadw. Prif rôl y Comisiwn Brenhinol yw creu, curadu a rhannu gwybodaeth am yr amgylchedd hanesyddol, ac rydym hefyd yn chwarae rhan fel ymgyngoreion yn y broses gynllunio ar gyfer yr amgylchedd hanesyddol ar sail y wybodaeth honno. Fodd bynnag, er bod yr amgylchedd hanesyddol yng Nghymru yn bwysig i’n staff, nid ydym ni fel corff yn gyfrifol am orfodi deddfwriaeth ym maes cynllunio a threftadaeth nac yn gyfrifol am ddiogelu safleoedd hanesyddol, ac nid ydym chwaith yn gweithredu fel grŵp lobïo. Thank you for your enquiry. We will endeavour to respond within 15 working days, unless you have selected our Priority Service option in which case we will be in contact with further details and information on paying for this service soon. In the meantime, you may find the information below helpful: For information on historic sites in Wales and details of archive holdings see our database and catalogue, https://coflein.gov.uk/en/ Where possible we recommend that you make an appointment to visit our archive search room and library to view archive material in person and take photos without charge. This is generally much quicker and cheaper than ordering scans remotely. Many of our digital images are available to download, purchase and licence directly from Coflein. Guidance on how to do this can be seen in this short video: Downloading images from Coflein (youtube.com) If the image which you want is not available via this system, this is often due to copyright restrictions and you may wish to identify an alternative image which is available, if possible. If you are requesting a dataset, please be advised that this data is now freely available under the Open Government Licence (nationalarchives.gov.uk) and you can carry out the searches yourself for terrestrial and maritime data on Data Map Wales and on Historic Wales (arcgis.com). If you are contacting us to request physical access to a historic site please note that the Royal Commission does not own any of the sites listed on Coflein, nor do we hold contact details for site owners. You will need to contact the site owners directly with your request. If you are concerned about the condition of a historic site or ancient monument please contact the Welsh Government’s Historic Environment Service, Cadw or the relevant local authority. Similarly, if you have a query regarding the statutory status of a historic site or the planning process relating to Listed Buildings or Scheduled Ancient Monuments there is a range of information available on Cadw’s website: Advice & Support | Cadw (gov.wales) The Royal Commission’s primary role is to create, curate and communicate information on the historic environment, we also play a role as consultees in the planning process for the historic environment on the basis of this information. However, whilst our staff are passionate about the historic environment in Wales, as a body we are not responsible for enforcing planning or heritage legislation, safeguarding historic sites, nor do we act as a lobbying group. Thank you. From: Sion Buckler <[email redacted]> Sent: 14 November 2025 12:49 To: [email redacted] Subject: BP vs Buckler You don't often get email from [email redacted]<[email redacted]>. Learn why this is important Sir/Ma'am, I am your constituent, living in Dinas Powys. I am writing to request your assistance in reviewing a historic legal matter involving my family: BP Properties Ltd v Buckler (1987), relating to Great House Farm, Llandough. My family lived on, cared for and claimed to own that farm for generations. The events surrounding the 1987 case resulted in the loss of our home and land, and left several members of my family deeply affected. Recent research I have undertaken has revealed significant procedural inconsistencies, historical irregularities, unanswered questions regarding corporate identity, unverified service of key documents, and heritage considerations relating to the site. I have attached a short report summarising SOME of these issues. I am requesting your help in identifying the appropriate bodies—legal, historical, or governmental—who may be able to independently review the historical record to ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency. My interest is not solely personal; Great House Farm has a heritage significance to Wales, including documented accounts that Guglielmo Marconi stayed there while experimenting with early radio technology. I believe this should form part of our preserved historical record. By way of background, I am a veteran and have served both in the Armed Forces and recently with the Vale of Glamorgan Council. My intention is simply to seek clarity, proper review, and justice where appropriate. I would be grateful for your guidance on the correct avenues to pursue. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Yours sincerely, Sion Buckler [address redacted] Dinas Powys [postcode redacted] Tel: [phone redacted]
