Sirs/Ma'am,

I'm writing to raise a point of awareness concerning a historical land
registration that appears to have been relied upon by public authorities
despite the absence of a definitive judicial determination of ownership at
the time it was entered on the register.

I am not seeking legal advice or intervention. My purpose is simply to flag
a concern as to whether the State may, in some circumstances, rely upon a
registered title that was based on assertion rather than adjudication.

If this is not appropriate for your department, I would be grateful if you
could indicate whether another public body would be better placed to note
the issue.
