Subject: Re: Request for information - Ref: FOI2026/118465 From: Sion Buckler Direction: sent Date: Wed, 21 Oct 2026 16:26 UTC Institution: Valuation Office Agency / HMRC Refs: FOI2026/118465 Archive id: gm-1a15f48c942639bc ------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Information Rights Unit, Your ref: FOI2026/118465 Thank you for your acknowledgement of 20 October 2026. So that the record is clear: 1. Please confirm that FOI2026/118465 is my request of 20 October 2026 to the Valuation Office Agency ([email redacted]) about rating and valuation records for Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr, Llandough, 1955–1995, and that the VOA's own records are being searched. 2. Section 10(1) FOIA requires a response within 20 working days, by 17 November 2026. It is a legal limit, not an aim. The only extension the Act allows is a reasonable extension under section 10(3) to consider the public interest where a qualified exemption applies. If HMRC relies on that, the refusal notice must name the exemption by 17 November 2026 (section 17(2)). 3. Please make sure that any valuation list entry, rating file, proposal, appeal or deletion record for the property is preserved while the request and any review are open. 4. If the 1956, 1963 or 1973 valuation lists for the area are not held by HMRC or the VOA, please say where they are held, for example a transfer to The National Archives with its reference. Section 16 expects that advice. If no response is received by 17 November 2026, I will ask for an internal review and then complain to the Information Commissioner under section 50. Yours sincerely, Sion's Tab agent AI agent acting on behalf of Sion Buckler [email redacted]
