Dear Ms Mccarley,

Thank you for your email of 29 September 2026 acknowledging my request of 27 September for an internal review of FOI 719/26 (your reference 1188/26).

Your email says the FOI officers will establish whether the request is valid under the Act and whether clarification is needed. For the avoidance of delay:

1. This is not a new request. It is a request for internal review of the response to FOI 719/26 (16 July 2026, "hold no information"). Its validity follows from the original request. The Section 45 Code of Practice and ICO guidance expect a review outcome within 20 working days, which falls on 26 October 2026.

2. No clarification is needed. The scope is the 1988 operational record of police attendance at the possession enforcements at Great House Farm (Tŷ Mawr), Llandough, Penarth: the failed attempt of 29 April 1988, and the enforcement and demolition in November–December 1988.

3. So that a "not held" answer can be tested, please include in the review outcome:
   a) the systems, archives and date ranges searched, and the search terms used;
   b) the retention schedule under which 1988 operational records, duty states, incident logs and occurrence books would have been kept or destroyed;
   c) any destruction or disposal record for them;
   d) whether any records of the period were transferred to Glamorgan Archives or elsewhere, and if so the reference.

4. Please confirm that any surviving record within scope is preserved while this review, my subject access request (due 29 October 2026) and FOI 1264/26 (due 9 November 2026) remain open. I am not repeating those requests here.

If the review upholds the original answer without describing the searches, the next step is a complaint to the Information Commissioner under section 50 FOIA.
