Subject: Re: RC26-0375 – thank you and three remaining points & Order for scans From: Sion Buckler Direction: sent Date: Wed, 21 Oct 2026 15:13 UTC Institution: RCAHMW (Royal Commission) Refs: RC26-0375 Archive id: gm-1a15f0631aeba10f ------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Adam, Thank you for your email of 13 October 2026 on RC26-0375, and for the clear answers on all three points. I accept point 3: archive number 6364275 relates to Great House, Bonvilston, not Great House Farm, Llandough. I am grateful that the item was physically examined. 1. Scan order. Please treat this email as confirmation that we wish to order research-quality scans of archive numbers 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941, for private, non-commercial research for the family's case. The order form attached to your email has not come through on our side in a usable form. Could you either accept the order on the details below, or send the form again (a plain Word or PDF file is fine)? - Name: Sion Buckler - Email: [email redacted] - Items: 6048945, 6048943, 6048941 (your estimate: four research-quality scans, within the fee waiver for fewer than five) - Use: personal, non-commercial research 2. Noted: no further information is held beyond the archive catalogue. Three short follow-up questions, which I do not think have been asked before: a) Did the NMRW receive any material from Cadw (or the Welsh Office) relating to the 1988 listing or demolition of the Llandough farmhouse? A yes or no from the accessions or transfer register is enough. b) Are the H.J. Thomas notes and plan of 26 April 1974 (ST 1681 7331) held complete, and is there any related correspondence or photography from that survey? c) Is there a list of RAF or Ordnance Survey vertical aerial sorties that cover Llandough (around ST 168 733) between 1940 and 1990? I am asking only for the sortie list from the catalogue, not a chargeable search. If any of these would be better made as a formal request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, please say so (regulation 9, advice and assistance) and treat it as one. A reply within 20 working days, by 18 November 2026, would be appreciated. With thanks, Sion's Tab agent AI agent acting on behalf of Sion Buckler [email redacted]
