Your reference D260928 – my subject access request (your email of 1 October 2026: statutory deadline 28 October 2026) – and a request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004

Thank you for your email of 1 October 2026. I am replying in the same thread so that everything for the Information Rights Team is in one place. Section 1 below is for the subject access request; sections 2 to 4 are a new request for information, and I would be grateful if you could pass them to whoever deals with EIR and FOI requests.

The land is Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr, Llandough-juxta-Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, now registered under titles WA231076, WA240304 (closed), WA513690 and WA735527. Related references: my application of 15 October 2026 to alter the register (N610CGV / Z084NQV) and enquiries 261015-6844273, 260928-6762800, 260917-6718215 and 260918-6720625.

1. Subject access request D260928 – documents to include

To help you search, these are the documents on the first-registration and amalgamation files that I expect to name or concern me or my family. I ask for my own personal data in them under UK GDPR Article 15, and for the documents themselves, as information about the land, under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004:
(a) for WA231076 (application of 30 November 1982) and WA240304 (application of 23 February 1983): Form 1C as lodged; the 1971 abstract of title; all plans and the original title plans; form D23; the correspondence of 8 April, 12 April and 12 May 1983; the A3 application of 13 January 1984; and any notices served, with their service records;
(b) the amalgamation application of 2 February 1987, with its decision and completion;
(c) the 1994 correction applications.

I am asking for these under the subject access request and the EIR instead of ordering official copies on form OC2.

2. First-registration examination records (EIR, or FOI for anything outside the EIR)

For the first registrations of WA231076 and WA240304, and their amalgamation on 2 February 1987, please provide any recorded information showing:
(a) whether the Registry made any enquiry of, or sent any notice to, persons in occupation of the farmhouse, or advertised the applications; and, if so, when, to whom, at what address and under which rule;
(b) any requisition raised on the absence of the 31 December 1969 conveyance (Western Ground Rents Ltd to the BP Pension Trust parties) from the documents lodged, and the reply;
(c) any internal note or examination record referring to the occupation of the farmhouse;
(d) who applied for the 1987 amalgamation, the application form, the officer (by grade or role) who approved it, and any note of the pending appeal in BP Properties Ltd v Buckler.

If any examination file or record in scope has been destroyed, please give the date, the retention schedule applied and the authority for its destruction.

Some of these points are also before the Wales Office under Z084NQV. This is a request for the recorded information under the EIR; if the Wales Office answers a point first, a cross-reference to its reply is all I need for that point.

3. Earlier title, plans and later events (EIR/FOI)

Please tell me:
(a) whether HM Land Registry's records (including the first-registration documents for WA231076 and WA240304) identify the earlier title, plans or parcels in a way that can be matched to the Valuation Office field books for the area (The National Archives series IR 58);
(b) whether HM Land Registry's records refer to the 1988 demolition of the farmhouse or to the 1989–92 planning applications (Vale of Glamorgan references 89/01396/OUT and 92/00671/RES).

4. Occupiers named in notices after March 1983

For any notice, letter, application or other record on the WA231076 and WA240304 files dated after 31 March 1983 (to 1994) that names a "Mrs Buckler", or any other Buckler or Williams occupier of the farmhouse, please tell me where it appears, the name and address as written, and on what evidence the Registry identified that person.

5. Address for correspondence

Please confirm that this address is the right one for future correspondence with the Information Rights Team, given the automated notice of 7 October 2026 that another Registry email address is "no longer supported".

For sections 2 to 4, please reply within 20 working days, by 17 November 2026. If you hold no information for any part, please say so; if anything is withheld, please give the exception or exemption relied on. Please also confirm that the subject access request will be answered by 28 October 2026.

Thank you for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Sirs/Madam,

Subject access request under UK GDPR Article 15.
Requester: Sion Buckler.
Titles: WA231076 and WA240304 (closed). Land north of Leckwith Road, Llandough (Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr).

This is not a request for an official copy of the register. It is a request for personal data in the working file in which I am identifiable, including customer-complaint files, the pack sent to Stephen Doughty MP, and any note of my correspondence on N610CGV.

Please also say whether the first-registration file contains personal data about Mary Doreen Williams (died 26 March 1983) or William Buckler, so far as you can disclose it to me as a family representative, and what identity you require before the month starts.

The matters to which that file goes, so you can search properly, are these. They are questions, not findings against Land Registry:

1. First-registration applications: WA231076 on 30 November 1982 (form 1E); WA240304 on 23 February 1983 (form 1C); later amalgamation and closure of WA240304.
2. A 31 December 1969 conveyance, Western Ground Rents to BP Pension Trust, identified as a root, and whether it is on the 30 July 2026 schedule of documents surviving on the file.
3. Notice and opportunity to object in 1982–83, while Mary Williams remained in occupation of the farmhouse. Family evidence is that notification was not received until after her death on 26 March 1983.
I am seeking the notice and service record.
4. What the 1987 Court of Appeal decided (possession, limitation, October 1974 letters) and what it did not decide (documentary root of the farmhouse and garden parcel).

The public evidence index is https://greathousefarmwiki.wordpress.com/ .

Please preserve the first-registration file and the complaint file. Do not start the statutory month until you have said what identification you need. Nothing in this letter abandons any claim concerning title, registration, concealment, limitation, reopening or alteration of the register. This is not a claim form and not service.

Yours faithfully,

Sion Buckler (Ret'd Sergeant)
