Subject: Re: 00211484 — narrowed request — commemorative tree, Church View Close / Great House Farm From: Sion Buckler Direction: sent Date: Sun, 18 Oct 2026 22:32 UTC Institution: Vale of Glamorgan Council Refs: 00210772, 00211483, 00211484 Archive id: gm-1a15125176d01042 ------------------------------------------------------------ Dear FOI Unit, This is a supplement to my open requests 00211484 and 00211483 (Church View Close / Great House Farm). It adds a narrow request about the village green beside Leckwith Road. If you would rather log it as a separate request, please do so and let me know the reference. It does not replace or narrow any open request, or restart their clocks. This is a request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for anything that is not environmental information). The council is the commons registration authority for the area. Please provide: 1. Village green VG41 (registered 16 June 1970 under the Commons Registration Act 1965): the register entry and register map; the application and any evidence or statutory declaration submitted with it; the applicant's identity; any objection or representation received; and any notice of the application sent to the occupiers of Great House Farm, which adjoined the land. 2. Glamorgan County Council planning committee, meeting of 19 November 1958: the minutes and any papers or correspondence relating to representations made by a Mrs Buckler of Great House Farm (reported, as I understand it, in the Western Mail on 20 November 1958). 3. Any council works carried out on the VG41 land or the adjoining woodland north of Leckwith Road between 1955 and 1988: dates, contractors and any record of who the council understood the owner or occupier to be. If any of these records were transferred to Glamorgan Archives, please tell me the reference rather than treating that part as not held. If a record contains third-party personal data, please redact that data rather than withhold the record. Please reply within 20 working days. I am happy to receive copies electronically. This narrows the request. It does not reopen 00210772. Please keep them separate. I hold dated photographs of the works. Please disclose: 1. The instruction, works order or contractor record for removal of the commemorative tree on or adjoining the former Great House Farm / Church View Close land. 2. The date of the works and who authorised them. 3. Any note linking the tree to the Williams / Buckler family, to Mary Williams, or to the 1988 demolition. If nothing is held, say what was searched. The public evidence index is https://greathousefarmwiki.wor dpress.com/ . This request is about one tree and one works record. It is not a request that you decide title.
