Please note that we are currently unable to respond to general external enquiries. We anticipate reviewing this position in January 2027.

Reproductions & Permissions: where we already hold the requested image of a Collections item, we can process these as usual, and will be in touch to reply in due course. The Bute Collection at Mount Stuart is privately owned, and permission is essential for the reproduction of images or information, whether for private study or for commercial publication. Please supply as much detail as possible for your reproduction or permission request (e.g. type of use, synopsis of publication, publisher, print run, language,
and distribution area). Conditions for permission will be supplied on receipt of your request.

Loan Requests: please send these to [email redacted] and we will be in touch.
Research Visits: these remain available by 3-weeks' advance appointment with our Collections Team. These are charged at £20 per day.

Collections Viewings: these remain available to book as usual - please find the 2027 dates available for these on our website What's On page .
