Dear Ms Denham,

Mary Doreen Williams: death registration

On 30 September 2026 the Vale of Glamorgan Registration Service told me they could not find a death record for Mary Doreen Williams in the Vale, and that they had passed my request to Cardiff. I have not had a reply from Cardiff.

Please could you:

1. confirm whether Cardiff Register Office holds a registration of death for Mary Doreen Williams;
2. if it does, tell me how I can obtain a certified copy and the fee; and
3. if it does not, tell me which indexes and registers were searched, so that I can search the GRO death index for the correct registration district.

If you need further details to carry out the search (approximate date or place of death, date of birth, last address), please tell me what you need and I will supply it. I am asking as a family member and I need the registration for estate administration.
