Dear Ministry of Defence FOI Team,

I am writing about FOI2026/09019 and the related outstanding correspondence. I understand that the Ministry relied on section 23(5) in relation to Special Forces material. This message does not ask you to confirm or deny whether Special Forces information is held. I am narrowing the outstanding information request to non-Special-Forces information that can be considered separately, without prejudicing the current internal review or the related subject-access request.

For Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr, Llandough-juxta-Penarth, and the period 1 November–31 December 1988, please disclose any recorded information held by non-Special-Forces parts of the Ministry concerning:
1. any request, assessment or record of Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA) relating to the location or relevant events;
2. any incident, deployment, duty-log, correspondence or administrative record held by regular Army, Territorial Army or Royal Military Police units that records activity relating to that location and period; and
3. any existing search record, case note, retention schedule, transfer list or disposal entry that explains how the non-Special-Forces portion of FOI2026/09019 was searched or what happened to potentially responsive records.

Please identify, at a level that can properly be disclosed, which non-Special-Forces departments, record systems, date ranges and catalogue/file series were searched for these points. Where responsive information is not held, please distinguish the result of a search from a record showing prior destruction, transfer or disposal; if a transfer or disposal entry exists, provide its date, reference and destination where recorded.

Please process any severable non-exempt information without treating the section 23(5) response on Special Forces as applying automatically to every non-Special-Forces record. If this narrower scope needs a new reference under your process, please tell me and register only the genuinely new element as a separate request; please do not restart or close the existing request or internal review as a result of this clarification.

This is an information request, not a request for the Ministry to decide title or the merits of any civil proceedings. It also does not ask you to disclose personal data through FOIA; the separate subject-access route remains separate.

Please confirm receipt and the applicable response date for any part registered as a new request.
