Subject: Record now public — Great House Farm (Tŷ Mawr), Llandough — 1987 case, 1988 demolition, 2026 disclosure From: Sion Buckler Direction: sent Date: Mon, 28 Sep 2026 21:42 UTC Institution: ITV Archive Refs: 00210772, 26FOI103, N610CGV Archive id: gm-1a0e9f7d82dd5650 ------------------------------------------------------------ News desks, I am not asking you to adopt a legal conclusion. I am asking you to look at a primary record that is now public, before more of it is lost. https://greathousefarmwiki.wordpress.com/ What the record shows, as distinct from what is still a question: Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr stood by St Dochdwy's, Llandough. Possession was taken on 29 November 1988. Demolition of the farmhouse began on 6 December 1988. The land is now Church View Close. The current registered proprietor of WA231076 is Persimmon Homes (Wales) Ltd. First-registration applications were made on 30 November 1982 (WA231076) and 23 February 1983 (WA240304, later closed into WA231076). BP Properties Ltd v Buckler [1987] EWCA Civ 2 decided possession, limitation and the effect of letters in October 1974. It did not decide whether the documentary root of the farmhouse and garden was ever established. The family's investigation is that the house and garden were a separate parcel from the eastern fields, and that later papers used "whole farm" for both. That is a working reconstruction, set out on the site with the documents and the gaps. It is not a judgment. This month, on the disclosure side, not as findings: Wales Office answered 26FOI 103 and pointed 1988 listing papers to the Welsh Government. A Vale of Glamorgan internal review requested on 7 July (00210772) has no outcome. HM Land Registry file N610CGV is with the Independent Complaints Reviewer. A replica of the house is being built in the Welsh settlement in Patagonia as a museum, not as restitution. Contemporary reporting described the 1988 scene in the language of a battleground. I can supply documents and a named contact. Yours faithfully, Sion Buckler (Ret'd Sergeant) [email redacted]
