Your request has been handled in line with data protection legislation as a Subject Access Request (SAR) for your personal information. In order for us to process your request we require further information as detailed below. Verifying Identity The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is committed to protecting your personal data and keeping it secure. One of the key safeguards we use is verifying the identity of anyone who requests access to personal data. This ensures that only you can access your information through a SAR. To process your request, we ask that you provide two forms of identification. 1. Photo ID – This should clearly show your face, such as a passport or driving licence. 1. Proof of Address – This should show your full name and current address, such as a utility bill (e.g. electricity, gas, water, telephone/broadband), council tax bill, or a bank/credit card statement. These documents must be dated within the last six months. You can use your driving licence as proof of your current address, but you’ll still need to provide an additional photo ID (such as your passport). We do not use photo ID to confirm your likeness but because the process for obtaining photo ID involves additional safeguards that help us confirm your identity with greater confidence. This is a necessary and proportionate step to make sure your data remains secure. You can find more information about how we handle personal data in our Personal Information Charter On receipt of this information, we will continue to process your request. And finally, I am writing now to make a Subject Access Request under Article 15 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. I wish to obtain copies of any personal data that the Ministry of Justice, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, or any relevant department holds about me, Sion Buckler, whether in electronic or paper records. In particular, I am seeking any personal data relating to the events surrounding the possession and eviction proceedings connected with Great House Farm (Ty Mawr), Llandough, Vale of Glamorgan. As a young child, I was present in the farmhouse during the eviction and enforcement action involving BP and court bailiffs. I understand there were reports at the time that specialist security personnel may also have been involved. If any records identify me, refer to my presence, welfare, or involvement, I request copies of those records. I also request any personal data held in connection with proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights relating to my late father Buckler v United Kingdom (1989), where it concerns me, including any correspondence, memoranda, case notes, or other documents in which I am identified or discussed. For the avoidance of doubt, this request is for my own personal data only. If information cannot be disclosed because it contains third-party personal data, I request that it be appropriately redacted rather than the document being withheld in its entirety where possible. Please also advise whether any relevant records have been destroyed, transferred to another public authority or archive, or are otherwise no longer held. If you require any further information to verify my identity or to process this request, please let me know. Yours faithfully, Sion Hywel Buckler (Ret'd Sergenant) DOB: 24/10/1984 [address redacted], Dinas Powys, Vale of Glamorgan, [postcode redacted] On Tue, 30 Jun 2026, 10:07 NSUKilo, > wrote: OFFICIAL - FOR PUBLIC RELEASE Dear Mr Buckler Please see the attached response to your request (our reference 260607013) Regards Operational Support - Knowledge and Information Liaison Officer National Support Unit | HMCTS gov.uk/hmcts [HM Courts & Tribunals Service logo] Here is how HMCTS users your data ________________________________ This e-mail and any attachments is intended only for the attention of the addressee(s).
