Dear Mr Buckler,
Thank you for your e-mail received 10 May 2026, addressed to the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner.
The Commissioner and her Team very much welcome correspondence from the public and use this to aid our understanding of the issues important to our communities and monitor developing themes within the public experiences shared. This feedback is used to support the Chief Constable in shaping South Wales Police's priorities and services through understanding and responding to our communities' needs.
We are sorry to hear of the difficulties you have been experiencing; however we must advise that South Wales Police and the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner are two separate organisations. The Commissioner and her team do not have access to Police systems to allocate members of staff to respond to matters as operational policing matters remain the responsibility of the Chief Constable, however we can advise that reports and concerns regarding operational policing matters can be reported to South Wales Police by dialling 101 or by using their website. You can also give crime information anonymously to Crimestoppers.
I trust this guidance will be of assistance to you.
Yours sincerely,
Elinor
