You would be welcome to visit us to consult the estate plans DB/E/1-2 in our public searchroom and take your own photographs for free. Our opening hours are Tues-Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-4.30pm. We are currently taking bookings from Tuesday 17th February 2026. Please note that our public searchroom is closed for the week Tues 10th February – Thurs 12th February so that staff can carry out essential work on the collections. We will re-open to the public on Tuesday 17th February 2026. If you have not visited us before, you are required to register. We ask that you bring with you two forms of ID, one showing your name e.g. Driving Licence and the other your current address e.g. current utility bill or official letter. Alternatively, if you are unable to visit us in person, and if you can confirm exactly which pages you require, staff can provide digital copies, for which we charge £15.60 for the first image and £4.80 each for subsequent images, payable in advance.
