Subject: Concern regarding historical record following disputed land dispossession From: Sion Buckler Direction: sent Date: Sat, 31 Jan 2026 05:58 UTC Institution: The National Archives Refs: none Archive id: gm-19c12a1b5c48b53b ------------------------------------------------------------ Sirs/Ma'am, I'm writing to raise a concern regarding the integrity of the historical record following disputed dispossession of land i.e. BP vs Buckler 1987 After forced removal and demolition of our home, archaeological excavation and removal of items took place on land whose ownership had never been conclusively adjudicated at the time of registration. BP asserted it, but it was never determined in a ruling beforehand as the July 1974 case between BP and my grandmother was adjourned and the October 31st 1974 appeal and audience with a judge she made just 24 hours before, was squashed by letters sent by BP that same morning. I am not making allegations here, simply stating facts about this landmark legal case. And asking whether this type of circumstance is relevant to archival or historical record considerations. Yours faithfully, Sion Buckler
